Breda Murphy, originally from County Carlow in southern Ireland is the founder of Food by Breda Murphy. Breda graduated from Ireland’s world-renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School, During her six years there as head chef she attracted the following awards: Hardens Top UK Restaurant,Rate 'Exceptional’ Breda left in 2000 to travel before returning to the Ribble Valley to set up her own catering business in 2001. The team helping Breda to achieve her aims include husband Guy Purves, head chef Gareth Bevan and manager Jodie Morgan. Gareth Bevan joined the company in the summer, winner of Young Chef of the Year, who trained under Breda at The Inn at Whitewell and now also returns to the Ribble Valley after a working sabbatical in Val D’Isere, France.
